TV fans were left ‘audibly gasping’ after a beloved sitcom returned to screens, hailing the new episodes as ‘great comfort telly’.
Apple TV’s Shrinking, which stars Jason Segel, has returned for a second season after it secured an impressive 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series sees Jason star as grieving therapist Jimmy, who decides to controversially cross boundaries and be very direct with his patients.
It also follows senior therapist Paul, who is played by Star Wars star Harrison Ford, as he rekindles his relationship with his family following a Parkinson’s diagnosis.
And the show has proved to be a huge success with viewers after it landed a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, along with 88% on their fan-generated popcornmeter.

Raving about the production, one viewer wrote: ‘I love this show. My Dad had Parkinson’s and when I heard of the story beat that would include Ford’s character having the ailment, I was worried it would become the punchline of many jokes.

Brett Goldstein will appear as a special guest star in season two.
The new season first premiered on October, 16.
Jason Segel recently revealed was it is like working with Hollywood star Harrison Ford.
The American actor, 44, revealed on Channel 10’s The Project on Monday night the very awkward interaction they once shared on set after Jason arrived in a jumpsuit.
‘I have never worn a jumpsuit before and I showed up to work [in a jumpsuit] half an hour early,’ Jason explained.
‘Harrison was waiting outside of my trailer because he wanted to run lines. He was looking me up and down. I was so embarrassed.’
Jason said the following day he arrived on set and saw Harrison wearing a matching jumpsuit.
‘It was like one of the sweetest moments of my life,’ he added.
