Each dog has a favourite spot to snooze. Sometimes it’s on a proper dog bed, sometimes it’s right on the floor, sometimes it’s on the sofa or even the owner’s bed. Likewise, each house has its own rules: some dogs are not allowed even on the living room furniture, let alone on the bed, while others can take a nap wherever they wish.
Many owners have no problem letting their dog sleep with them on the bed: after all, dogs are part of the family. Others would rather not allow it, arguing that it is both a matter of hygiene and training, and that dogs should be given boundaries as well as their own bed to retreat to for the night.
