For the past decade, experts have attempted various techniques to uncover the mystery inside the rare golden coffin, but to no avail. However, there may be a deeper reason why it has remained unopened.
Over ten years ago, an all-gold coffin was discovered in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, China. While ancient civilizations often placed great importance on the afterlife, the discovery of a coffin made entirely of gold is exceptionally rare. Despite this, experts at the site chose not to immediately open the coffin.
The researchers began by examining the data related to the coffin’s actual purpose.
The discovery of antiques and ancient tombs in modern China has become a common topic in the archaeological world, often arising from building restoration activities in the country.
More than a decade ago, during a major restoration of the renowned Long Tuyen temple in Son Tay, builders accidentally uncovered a mysterious ancient tomb. Son Tay archaeologists promptly arrived on the scene to investigate the tomb. Upon inspection, they observed that this tomb was unlike any typical tomb.
The tomb consists of five layers of coffins made of different materials, including stone, wood, copper, silver, and gold. The golden coffin, in particular, has attracted much attention.
The coffin is made entirely of real gold and intricately carved with delicate patterns on its upper portion.
According to experts, this golden coffin is linked to religious culture based on historical documents.
