DeAndre Hopkins agreed to sign a one-year, $6 million deal with the Ravens Tuesday. The 32-year-old receiver joins them after splitting time during the 2024 season between the Titans and the Chiefs.
Hopkins was drafted with the 27th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He began his career with the Texans, but after a falling out with the team, he was involved in one of the more surprising trades in recent memory. Houston sent Hopkins and a fourth-round pick to Arizona for running back David Johnson, a second-round pick, and a fourth-round pick in 2020.
In 2023, Hopkins signed with Tennessee as a free agent. Then he was moved to Kansas City at the 2024 trade deadline.
Hopkins has the 21st-most receiving yards in NFL history and has been named a First-Team All-Pro three times and to the Pro Bowl five times. He has plenty of glittering stats and accolades, but his lack of a Super Bowl ring has him projected to miss out on the NFL Hall of Fame, per Pro Football Reference. He will try rectify that in Baltimore.

DeAndre Hopkins contract details
- Team: Ravens
- Years: 1
- Value: $6 million
Hopkins’ best days of football are behind him. When he was acquired by Kansas City ahead of the 2024 NFL trade deadline, there was hope that combining him with Patrick Mahomes would bring back the Hopkins that we were used to seeing. Instead, he averaged just 40 yards per game, finishing with 437 yards and four touchdowns.
While Hopkins can’t be counted on to be a No. 1 wide receiver in the league anymore, he is a solid depth addition. He is going to be better than most teams No. 2 or No. 3 wide receivers, and he is also going to help younger players at the position in their development. Hopkins will still bring an advantageous matchup against an opposing corner, but will be more valuable with his veteran leadership.
DeAndre Hopkins age
Hopkins is 32, but he will turn 33 ahead of the 2025 NFL season. He is entering his 13th season and will be joining his fifth career team. Hopkins is one of the oldest wide receivers in the league. Only Adam Thielen on the Panthers is older, but Hopkins is the same age as Keenan Allen, Robert Woods, Davante Adams, Odell Beckham Jr., Chris Conley, Tyler Lockett, and Alex Erickson.
DeAndre Hopkins stats
Hopkins has 12,965 yards, the 21st-most in NFL history. He also has the 16th-most receptions, and with 16 more, he will become the 16th player in NFL history to ever have 1,000 receptions.
His best seasons were in Houston. In 2017, he had 1,378 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns. Hopkins led the league in receiving touchdowns that year, finishing with three more than tight end Jimmy Graham and then-Packer Adams. The next year, he had a career-high 1,572 receiving yards. Hopkins finished 105 yards behind then-Falcon Julio Jones.
Hopkins was named a First-Team All-Pro and to the Pro Bowl in three consecutive years from 2017-2019. Along with Hopkins’ consistent success, he has been reliable in avoiding injury. He has only missed 18 games over 12 seasons. Six of them came in 2022 when he was suspended for the first six games of the regular season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. Hopkins missed one game in 2017 due to a calf injury, three games in 2021 due to a hamstring injury, and four because of a season-ending MCL tear. He missed two games in 2022 due to a knee strain, but otherwise was on the field.
Here are Hopkins’ career stats since he was drafted in 2013.
