Levi Hummon is counting down the days to his wedding—and finding fresh inspiration for his music!
The 33-year-old country singer revealed on Diving In Deep with Sara Evans that he’s fully in “wedding mode” ahead of tying the knot with fiancée Kearsten Kochan.
“I’m getting married in 123 days. June 14,” Hummon shared during the podcast, which aired on March 6. Coincidentally, that date also marks the wedding anniversary of host Sara Evans, who married Jay Barker in 2008.
While keeping most details under wraps, Hummon confirmed that the celebration will be a destination wedding in Key Largo, Florida, with close friends and family.
“It’s gonna be amazing. I’m honestly the healthiest, happiest version of myself I’ve ever been, and it’s all because of this woman in my life,” he said. “Thinking about her makes me emotional because she’s just that amazing.”
New Music on the Horizon
Aside from wedding prep, Hummon is also gearing up to release new music in 2025. Following last year’s Bet On Me EP, he revealed that he has “four songs in my back pocket,” including a track co-written with Walker Hayes.
“I’m getting married in June, so that’s a huge priority,” he noted. “But I think toward summer or early fall, we’ll be looking at some awesome new music.”
And this time, fans can expect a shift in tone.
“I’m inspired. No more breakup songs,” he joked.
‘I Don’t Know What I Was Waiting For’
Hummon proposed to Kochan in May 2024, sharing heartwarming engagement photos from Nashville on Instagram. Speaking to PEOPLE in October, he called her his “rock” and admitted, “I don’t know what I was waiting for.”
“My brother got married in March, so I wanted to let him have his moment. Just a few weeks later, I popped the question—and it’s been amazing.”
Hummon also credited Kochan, a dermatology medical assistant, for influencing his professional mindset.
“She’s the person who allowed me to take the risk of not being an independent artist anymore,” he said. “The new batch of songs I’m about to put out is all love songs and happy songs instead of breakup songs. I’ve always been chasing someone who loves me as much as I can love them.”
The couple will exchange vows at Key Largo Lighthouse Beach, with Hummon’s mother, Becca Stevens, officiating.
“We’re doing a beachside wedding. I’m just a beachy guy, and she said she’d marry me anywhere, so it was an easy decision,” he shared.
Hummon’s upcoming music will follow his six-track Bet On Me EP, featuring collaborations with Sam Tinnesz (“Rock Bottom”) and Walker Hayes (“Paying For It”).
