Amy Robach Shares the Biggest Thing She’s Learned About T.J. Holmes Since Moving in Together (Exclusive)
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are embracing their new life together!
The couple gave PEOPLE an update on their relationship while attending the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Luzia in New York City on March 6. They revealed that since moving in together in September 2024, they’ve settled into a comfortable routine.
“We’re in family mode,” Robach shared, as Holmes added, “We’ve been best friends for so long. We spend so much time together. I don’t think there was a surprise of any kind.”
However, Robach admitted there was one unexpected discovery: Holmes’ unique nighttime habit.
“He has to sleep with the television on at all times. I did not know that,” she revealed. “How would I know that if we were just friends? That was the biggest surprise, and I’ve now gotten used to it. I’ve moved over from white noise to television.”
Holmes chimed in, “You specifically like Snapped,” referring to the true-crime series.
“We call it murder in the morning,” he joked. “In the morning, we love true-crime shows, and Snapped is our absolute favorite because it’s about women committing murder. I don’t know why I like that show.”
Robach laughed, adding, “And you sleep so soundly next to me!”
Holmes playfully responded, “Like a good lullaby at night,” before Robach quipped, “We’re strange. We’re not like the others.”
Wedding Bells on the Horizon?
Though they haven’t set a date yet, Robach assured PEOPLE that a wedding is in their future.
“It’s a promise,” she said. “My mom even asked if we had already gotten married in secret because we wear our Oura Rings. She thought we might be keeping it from her! I told her, ‘Mom, I would definitely tell you if that were the case!’”
Robach and Holmes first sparked romance rumors in November 2022. Two years later, they confirmed their move-in status on their podcast in September 2024.
At the time, Robach explained that her 21-year-old daughter, Ava, and her roommate temporarily moved in with her due to a pest issue at their apartment. As a result, Robach ended up staying with Holmes, and what started as a “trial period” became a permanent arrangement.
Holmes joked at the time, “I’ve yet to find something wrong with it.”
“I’ve enjoyed the time that we’ve had together. It’s been a little different, but I’ve liked it,” he added.
